As is often the case when setting off into the unknown, you choose what you take with you, never quite what you are going to meet.
Fragrance is a territory we chose to explore. But loving a world from the outside and discovering it from within are two very different things.
We entered it with our own language, our way of expressing ourselves and of imagining things.
When you discover a place for the first time, you have to grasp its grammar, its nuances and its subtleties, learn to adapt to it, while keeping your own personality.
Voyage en Terre Inconnue was born of that encounter.
Without borders, we went wherever our imagination took us.
To Cuba with Legendario & Kohiba, between liqueur, heat and honeyed tobacco.
To Senegal with Les Murmures du Baobab, before a thousand-year-old tree whose stories we would love to hear.
Between desert and sea, in Abu Dhabi, with Écumes des Dunes, on the trail of the Marawah pearl, buried for close to 8,000 years.
In the midst of a philharmonic orchestra with Symphonie des Ambres.
In the lightness of a romance with Crushin Love.
Or in those encounters that cross our lives before disappearing, with PHANTOM.
Voyage en Terre Inconnue is that freedom: leaving without moving, and letting a scent carry us elsewhere.
We did not come back from that journey exactly as we had set out. Our view had changed.
From the whole journey, we had drawn the essence of our identity.
What came next imposed itself naturally.
