Our perfumers
Margaux Le Paih-Guérin
Portrait
Margaux Le Paih-Guérin belongs to the new generation of perfumers exploring creation with a new freedom, without ever letting go of the standards of fine perfumery.
Trained at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, then alongside Givaudan and Luzi, she has developed a contemporary style, precise and deeply intuitive. An approach in which each creation seeks less to impress than to find its own rightness.
“Every generation must write its own way of sensing the world.”
Why we chose her
When we began imagining Voyage en Terre Inconnue, we were not looking for a perfumer alone. We were looking for a personality able to bring a fresh eye, free to propose, to experiment and to build an identity with us from the very first pages of the Empreinte d'Effluves story.
Margaux was one of those young signatures already holding our attention through the originality of their first creations. But what convinced us was above all her enthusiasm, her commitment and that sincere desire to build something new.
So we chose to entrust her with three creations for our first collection, Voyage en Terre Inconnue. A bold choice, carried by a single conviction: the finest collaborations are born when a House places its trust in a talent before that talent becomes obvious to everyone.
Signature
A contemporary style, free and instinctive, where technical precision always leaves room for emotion.
Our vision
With Margaux, we share the same desire to create, to dare and to do things differently.

Alice Dattée
Portrait
Alice Dattée approaches creation with sensitivity and depth, attentive to what materials can tell beyond their scent alone.
Her work finds its natural place in compositions where nature is not merely a setting, but a memory, a presence, something that came before us and reaches beyond us.
“There are witnesses that keep in silence what people forget.”
Why we chose her
With Les Murmures du Baobab, we wanted to tell far more than the story of a tree.
The baobab is a witness. An ancestral being that crosses time, sees generations born and vanish, and remains, laden with all it has seen.
It stands for the kind of knowledge that comes not from books, but from lived experience, from what is handed down, and from time.
Through it, we also wanted to evoke Africa: an ancient land, deeply rooted, carrying memories and knowledge passed down from one generation to the next.
We entrusted this idea to Alice with one intention: not to illustrate the baobab, but to try to hear what it would whisper to us if it could speak.
Signature
Evocative, subtle, profound.
A style that works in nuance without losing depth. Alice gives materials a presence that reveals itself gradually and goes on resonating.
Our vision
Giving weight to what is whispered.

Nathalie Feisthauer
Portrait
Nathalie Feisthauer has an instinctive, expressive style, able to set contrasts in dialogue without ever forcing them against each other. She likes to work with tension, to let different sensations live side by side, and to find that point of balance where a composition can be deep, luminous and enveloping all at once.
“The darkest nights can be the most revealing.”
Why we chose her
With Nuit de Lune, we wanted to explore a different kind of darkness. Not the darkness that unsettles or that we try to flee, but that of a calm night, when the world seems to slow down and silence becomes almost reassuring. The moon then brings just enough light to change how the night is perceived. The shadow remains, but it turns gentle. The light is there, but it never tries to reveal everything. It is this suspended moment that we wanted to entrust to Nathalie: letting shadow and light live together in one same feeling of peace.
Signature
Contrasted, nuanced, expressive.
A style that likes to let opposites live together. Nathalie works contrast with precision, until she finds the point where each one reveals the other.
Our vision
Contrasts do not clash. They coexist.
Camille Leguay
Portrait
Camille Leguay composes with fragrance the way one writes a score. She looks for the right chord, the one where materials answer one another, come together and find their tempo. Her work brings together listening, precision and intuition to create perfumes that leave a lasting imprint on memory.
“There are melodies we listen to. And those we hear.”
Why we chose her
With Symphonie des Ambres, we wanted to capture that rare sensation: a melody that settles into us from the very first note and goes on resonating long afterwards. Camille was able to translate that idea into a composition where every nuance plays its note, answers the others and falls into tune to form a warm, deep and unforgettable symphony.
Signature
Rhythmic, nuanced, lingering.
A style in which materials fall into tune, answer one another and each find their place. Camille builds her compositions as a whole, with that care for rhythm and harmony that carries their imprint further.
Our vision
Revealing the musicality of every material.
Anne-Sophie Behaghel
Portrait
Anne-Sophie Behaghel likes to build perfumes around unexpected contrasts. Her work plays with materials and textures, setting light and depth, softness and character in dialogue.
With Phantom, that approach takes on an almost elusive dimension: a controlled elegance, able to leave an impression long after it has passed.
“Some presences do not need to be there in order to exist.”
Why we chose her
Phantom explores a particular form of presence.
There are those who walk into a room without ever truly inhabiting it. And those who, long after leaving it, still seem to be there. It is that invisible imprint we wanted to translate.
A presence that depends neither on noise, nor on movement, nor even on closeness. Something almost impossible to grasp. A bearing, a sensation, a trace.
Phantom was born of that idea: true power may lie in being able to be absent without ever really disappearing.
Signature
Textured, controlled, assured.
A style that works material with precision and lets character appear without ever forcing it. Anne-Sophie builds perfumes whose presence asserts itself with restraint.
Our vision
Creating a presence. An aura.
Jérôme Di Marino
Portrait
Jérôme Di Marino likes to work with the most fragile, the most delicate materials, those that could almost fade away if handled roughly. His strength lies in the way he tames them without ever weighing them down. He gives them texture, presence, almost a soul, while preserving what makes them delicate. In his hands, fragility never becomes weakness: it becomes substance.
“Returning to what is essential.”
Why we chose him
Cocon is the first fragrance in the ADN collection. And that choice is deliberate.
ADN explores our states of mind, those deeply human sensations we can share without necessarily living them the same way.
To open this collection, we wanted to return to what truly matters: the essential. That essential does not take the same shape for everyone. It can be a place, a person, a moment. A prayer, a habit, silence, solitude, work, or simply the presence of those we love.
Cocon is the feeling of finding again what truly matters to us. That moment when outside tensions recede, when noise loses its importance and something seems naturally to fall back into its rightful place. Whatever it is that makes up our cocoon, we know when we are in it.
To translate a sensation this intimate, we needed Jérôme's delicacy and his ability to work the most sensitive materials without ever erasing them. Giving presence to softness. Giving substance to the intimate. That is how Cocon was born: an invitation to return to what is essential.
Signature
Delicate, textured, enveloping.
A style that knows how to give presence to the most sensitive materials without ever making them lose their fragility.
Our vision
Returning to what is essential.
